Individualized acupuncture care in Austin

Care informed by East Asian medicine, contemporary anatomy, functional assessment, and current research.

What acupuncture care may include

Acupuncture uses very fine, sterile, single-use needles placed at selected points based on the patient’s presentation and treatment goals.

A visit may also include discussion of activity patterns, movement, sleep, stress, symptom behavior, self-care, and whether another healthcare evaluation is appropriate.

Depending on the situation, care may incorporate manual techniques, gentle electrical stimulation, heat, cupping, or other methods within professional scope and with patient consent.

Your visit

What to expect

01

Conversation and assessment

We discuss your main concern, history, goals, relevant medical care, and factors that change your symptoms.

02

Individualized treatment

The treatment is selected for the person and presentation rather than applied as a one-size-fits-all protocol.

03

Plan and reassessment

We review response, realistic expectations, and whether treatment should continue, change, or involve another provider.

Safety and communication

Please tell the practitioner about pregnancy, implanted devices, bleeding disorders, anticoagulant use, immune compromise, recent surgery, significant allergies, fainting history, and any serious or rapidly changing symptoms.

Patients should continue prescribed medications unless the prescribing clinician advises otherwise.
